The Industry-Integrated Degree (IID) initiative held an academic review session focused on evaluating the programme’s academic structure and proposed university course titles.
The session brought together representatives from Nepal Open University, the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University, and Nepal’s technology industry to review the proposed courses and provide academic and industry perspectives.
Discussions focused on course naming, academic alignment, programme structure, and the relevance of proposed courses to the objectives of the IID initiative. Participants reviewed the proposed university course titles and shared feedback and recommendations to further strengthen the academic framework.

The academic review is part of the ongoing development of IID, which seeks to connect university education with practical industry experience. The programme brings together academic and industry stakeholders to develop an academic structure that reflects both university requirements and the evolving needs of Nepal’s IT sector.
The Industry-Integrated Degree (IID) is an initiative of NAS-IT in collaboration with Nepal Open University (NOU), supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) through the technical assistance of Swisscontact.
